Hello my name is
Head of Creative Development
I graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a degree in Contemporary Theatre and Choreographic Practices and have since then been working as a performer/deviser, producer and facilitator. I’m now a Creative Associate with National Theatre Wales.
Most recently I have been working as Associate Producer at Wales Millennium Centre here in Cardiff, where I was involved in the programming, producing and co-producing activities of the company, including the Centre’s first touring production Ma’ Bili’n Bwrw’r Bronco. I was part of the Centre’s programming team involved in producing the Weston Studio spring and autumn seasons and the Blysh Festival of Circus, Cabaret and Street Arts which takes place each year in July.
I was producer for the Incubator Project, the Centre’s artist development project which works with individual artists and companies from Wales to create new work in association with the Centre. In the three years I was running Incubator I had the pleasure of working with over 150 talented artists, on vastly different projects. I love sharing the creative journey with each artist, having a creative dialogue, continually learning from each other.
I got into theatre and performance from a young age and have met many encouraging and generous people along the way. As a result I have become really passionate about community-focused projects and look to share the things I have picked up with anyone who will listen. I continually look for new ways to involve people in the work that I do.
Prior to my time in Wales, I was Assistant Director at the Arc Theatre, a rural receiving house in west Wiltshire.
